Very few people Understand the politics and purpose of the money.True salvation lies in REDUCING THE COST OF LIVING.Instead of inflation there has to be 2% deflation every year on the price of goods and services like housing market and rents.Remember the times when the brand new car used to cost 2500 dollars and at that time there were no computer controlled CNC machines. The golden age will only come back if America stop wasting Money on unnecessary wars and foreign aids and concentrate on better distribution of wealth among the nations citizens if they will not do it then ONE DAY THEY WILL WAKE UP TO FIND THAT EVERY THING IS GONE!!!!!!

a) raising the minimum wage is not the only answer. Raising it will cause temporary hikes in prices and unemployment.

b) the reason we don't let the free market set that standard is that, even WITH minimum wages, we have a growing gap between the executives and the workers. In 1925, executives made about 50 times what the workers made. Today, it's almost 400 times. If we leave it up to the free market, the rich will get richer on the backs of the poor.

I support a multi-tiered minimum wage, with special minumums for teenagers and the inexperienced.

because of the fact then there may be no incentive to get a extra effective practise, artwork your butt off and get out of low paying jobs. to advance it slightly, so its no longer so pathetic is one undertaking yet to advance to the comparable as what college grads and approved experts make would not seem honest. $7/hr remains very low, no one needs that activity consistently even nevertheless that's going to shrink the quantity the rest human beings ought to pay in welfare. Why ought to tax payers ought to atone for great agencies who're merely too grasping to pay a honest salary? huge organisation will on no account pay a honest salary in the event that they do no longer ought to. this is the reason minimum salary desires to be raised.

And then all products will just go up in price 300%. Look, the min. wage was not designed to support a family. It is an entry level wage. If one wants to make more money then they need to go to school or start their own business. except for simon...he will never be worth more than min. wage.

It's all a way of keeping the slowest of the herd alive. In a "Darwinian" world we'd be free of the freeloaders. But then again Economicaly we gotta keep these people around inorder to provide unskilled menial labor. We do need to pay them enough to stay alive so we don't have to flip our own burgers. Unless it's Labor Day at our back yard BBQ. Oh or cut our lawns.

That's a good question. If the libs hate big corporations so much why don't they make it $20/hr and see how fast they will close their doors? If people want to make a living wage, they need to get an education. Fast food, car wash, Starbucks etc. jobs are not meant to support a family of four.

Sure, if you want to jack up inflation by a few hundred percent points. If people working at mcdonalds start making $20/hour, then postal workers will start getting paid $100/hour. A pack of socks will now cost $70, all thanks to you.
