first you have to determine WHERE it's leaking from. It could be a hose, the thermostat, the radiator, the core.

have the system flushed and refilled by a shop; it's quicker and painless.

Is it water or anifreeze you are leaking?
First find out where its leaking. It didn't get cold enough to freeze anything. Before you rule it to be the water pump. It could be something simple like a hole in a hose, or loose or cracked hose.
If you need to drain the coolant there usually is a valve at the bottem of the radiator.

Where is it leaking? Before you tackle a water pump you should check hoses. They are easier to replace and cheaper. Don't forget heater hoses and heater valves.

There is a drain valve at the bottom of your radiator. Drain out your old coolant and start fresh. Normally a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water will give you good protection, but you can check to see if it's adequate for where you live.
