Buddy, India is a huge country. If it tries to maintain a GMT time zone instead of IST (Indian Standard Time) it will have 5 different time zones, its so huge, so the same applies to its weather and climate. There is not one specific season when the whole India is having rain, or sunshine...

You can visit any time of the year, and experience different climates at different parts of the country. Just avoid July and August as more than 70% of India is under the influence of the raingod at these months.

Hi, The best time to travel in India is from September to March. Right now you can goto Annual Fair in Pushkar, Rajasthan India. More than 25,000 peoples arrived from all over world for this fair which held on every 11th of November.

It obviously depends to what part of India you want to visit.
For visiting northern part the best time will be from November to February especially good for hill station visit as it is off season in most of the hill stations and it becomes somewhat cheap.(Try to match your visit time with the Diwali festival)
For visiting Southern and Western India , any time of the year is good (except the months may to july as it rains due to monsoons which start inmay in south and continue till july end in the northern part which may spoil your time .)
Please do not miss Rajasthan as it one of the best tourist spots(best time December to February, Pushkar fair sometime in december(most see!) )
for any more details ask me at or .
Happy Journey!
