I work at a market research company and I call hundreds and hundreds of people and do political surveys. I've noticed a HUGE difference between Democrats and Republicans.
I'm not a political person, I don't follow politics, so this is just an honest question.
Why is it that democrats are more likely to vote for the person based on what the person has to say, and what they believe.. While on the other hand, republicans seem to vote republican no matter what, even if they don't know the issues or what the person stands for, they just vote republican.
You wouldn't believe how many people I've heard southern republicans say "I support bush and I think he's the best president ever, I vote straight republican no matter what!"
Why???
Why are republicans so downright stubborn and blind?

They are not, and you are obviosusly biased. Speaking of voting the ticket, you do know about the general voting patterns of minority groups, Hollywood types, Soccer Moms, right?
In the NY tri-state area, the mosy uninformed voters I have ever known are Democrats. They tend to be naive idealists and don't educate themselves sufficiently to make informed decisions regarding issues having long term ramifications.
They will also never understand tax policy.

Nicolas. I'm a Democrat, and I think Nancy Pelosi is a dangerous person and should not be allowed to be Speaker of the House. I think Bill Clinton is a poor husband and a philanderer (though I don't think those are impeachable offenses).
But to speak to the questioner's point. The reason the Republicans are totally pro-Republican is that they are blind to the evils of their own party. The GOP has made blaming the Democrats such an art form that GOP voters fall for it every time.
GOP voters are MUCH more likely to make excuses for the GOP officials, even if the face of all sorts of proof otherwise. It's a matter of TRUST. GOP voters TRUST their GOP representatives, and will therefore believe anything they say. Democrat voters don't trust their own party, they just identify with its ideals.

I am republican and have many republican family members and friends. I don't believe your analysis for a second. If I were to go out in the middle of my town and ask these questions I'm quite sure the republicans would know the issues and where their candidate stands. The democrats on the other hand would say they are voting democrat because "Bush is the devil" or some such nonsense.

Taking the quicker poster's element that there are not incredibly any "leaders" interior the Republican social gathering, there are certainly a number of Republicans who've publicly endorsed violence against the U. S. government in some style or yet another. this is incredibly treasonous, surprisingly while it comes no longer from any mere citizen, yet from an elected expert who has sworn an oath to uphold the form. or perhaps nonetheless it relatively is anecdotal, regardless of if an inordinately intense share of folk on the novel good flock to Yahoo! solutions, the a number of issues one sees in posts on listed right here are very demanding, and doubtlessly very risky. That maximum of people have been weened off of serious concept and fed propaganda for long sufficient that they are receptive to such radical suggestions will actually must be addressed in our society as urgently and heavily as available.

A lot of us Republicans don't agree with everything! But we are for less government and less free handouts. Workfare - not Welfare ! Big business provides jobs and without a job - where are you? I personally vote across party lines if I think that person is an upright, moral politician - & there ARE a few of them!

Is there any difference between repugnocrats and dumbpublicans? The agenda of both parties is to stay in power and nothing else.

Are we really? The democrats say they are going to do all kinds of things. But they never say how. If you read about politics at all, you will find that this is true. Democrats like to spend money.
Do you think our deficit was created by the Republicans? I'm not crazy about the war but war is never popular.

They would vote for Foley again if he could run. It doesn't matter to them at all as long as they keep their party in office.
Their ads are the dirtiest, too.

They follow their leaders blindly. Kind of like the Germans followed Hitler and didn't ask questions. They don't have a real bit of individuality in there make-up.
Kind of like, "Yes'm Massa!. Anything you say. Uh huh!"
