Is it better to take it during the day or is it better to take it right before you sleep? :)

G'day Jonjon,

Thank you for your question.

The best time is at breakfast giving you time to absorb it. It is also better to have it with a meal so you can digest it.

I have attached sources for your reference.

Regards

Though multivitamins supplements can be taken at any time of the day, different vitamins may be more beneficial earlier in the day, with a meal or on an empty stomach, but the best time is after breakfast. Don't take B-vitamins too late in the day. B-vitamins are used to metabolize food for energy. We need our energy to be at its highest early in the day, and not in the evening. You should enjoy the benefits of the vitamins during your waking hours!

Another reason that early morning is the best time is that the body need vitamins most while it is active. It is true that the liver can store many vitamins including vitamins A, B12, D, E, and K and copper and iron but overloading its storage capabilities can be harmful. (Multivitamins supplements usually include minerals). People who supplement their diets with too much vitamin A or iron can actually damage their livers.

For those who are sleeping on the day and working at night, then the timing should be reversed - making it early in the evening as the best time.♥

your metabolism slows down while you sleep and you don't digest food as efficiently or quickly (this is why eating before bed can lead to weight gains). Considering this, I would assume that morning is the best time to take a multivitamin, but a multivitamin (especially in a solid pill form) is useless without sufficient water. Try to get about eight 16oz glasses per day.

All these answers are scientifically wrong. One reason why you have a liver is so that nutrients you've consumed have a place to be stored until you need them. This means it doesn't matter if you get up at one in the morning to take it, or if you take it in the morning upon rising, or if you take it just before calling it a night. It doesn't matter! When your body needs a given nutrient that's not in your bloodstream right at the moment, the liver is right where it'll look first. This is why animal liver is so nutritious: They store nutrients for later use in this organ, and you eat these nutrients when you eat the liver. The liver is also used as a filter, removing toxins from the blood to send to the kidneys and colon... but that's another story. There is no "right" time to take a multivitamin. Exhaustive medical studies have proven this time and time again, while health magazines continue to ponder the issue, and certain drug companies would have you believe that time DOES matter so that they can sell you seperate bottles of AM and PM vitamins. Take it whenever you feel like taking it.

you should not take multivitamins since most of them contain only artificial or poor quality vitamins.
you should not self medicate.
if you feel you must, at least research what you're taking to be able to buy the natural form.
