I'm left handed and I don't consider myself 'brainy'
If I had to base any difference in me because of being a lefty, it would be that I am more adaptable to changing situations than a right handed person. I do not get flustered when I have to change directions in the middle of a project.
I think lefties have to adapt to a right handed world. Most of us don't gripe because everything 'works wrong' we adapt and move on.

My brother is left-handed and very intelligent. He tends to talk over people's heads without realizing it. When he was in school he always got excellent grades with little effort. He has a good job and makes about 4 x's as much $ as his right-handed sister :)

Generally more creative/artistic because they are right hemisphere dominant.
