Manga refers to Japanese comics. Anime on the other hand is Japanese animation.

Manga and anime are basically the words comic and cartoon in Japanese. Still the terms, manga and anime, may be used also to refer to Japanese style comics and cartoons.

Manga & Anime are the same style.
However, "Anime" is it in the form of being animated. And "Manga" is the style in a comic book form.
While Anime & Manga ARE cartoons, its a prticular STYLE of drawing (I.E. Japanese) Whereas, most other cartoons are not.

Manga is the Japanese form of comic books and comic strips.
Anime is the animated Japanese cartoons, usually best characterized by large, glassy eyes, large heads and weird hair. Usually has much better animation quality and stoylines than their American counterpart.
Cartoons are just plain old American animation. No frills, no amazing drawing, just plain, boring, uninspired stuff.

According to my experiences (I'm not an expert) and various sources I've encountered, manga is like american comics, except in japanese way. Anime is manga put into movies. The American version of anime is cartoon.
Comics : Cartoons
Manga : Anime
Try read and watch all those and you'll see the difference.

Also, the "anime" genre should not be confused with cartoons. They are actually more like animated movies, and not always gear towards young children.
The japanese are not squirmish about nudity, (which is often in anime) but to many western cultures this would be offensive.

Yes... They are all drawings but I say that they have diffrenences.
Cartoon refers to drawn or digitally sketched art in eithr still or animated form.
Anime in the other hand is a japanese term for drawn art in animated cartoons.
Manga is the japanese term for drawn art in COMICS and ART Books and is not animated.
