i have looked for a while on these and i am having trouble and confused on these questions..any ideas on how i can find them or some help at all..?
1.How many volcanoes are in the Cascades range?
2. What is a long term affect from volcanoes?
3.What does sulfur form when it is mixed with water vapor?
4.Whats an example of a hot spot volcano( not on a plate boundary)?
5.What are 3 signs of impending volcanic eruptions?

1 - I'm not familiar with the cascade ranges
2 - If enough dust were produced it may cause the earths temperature to drop for an indefinite period, maybe 1000 years. or more commonly pyroclastic flow or mudflows will destroy farms/towns which usually has a long term effect on people and economies
3 - unsure, maybe sulphur dioxide
4 - Hawaii
5 - increased gas release around volcano, increase in the gradient of volcanic dome (bulging), increase in the frequency of earthquakes

1. It runs from north-south along the west coast of North America from British Columbia through Washington and Oregon to the Shasta Cascade area of northern California.

One obvious volcano not on a plate boundary is Kilauea
