I don't know about Ohio but I used to live in Florida and I voted when Kerry ran against Bush and I didn't have to show my passport; all i needed was my drivers license (picture id).

You're not traveling to another country...why would you need a passport? I live in Ohio and I know if you even move from one address to another within Ohio you must fill out a change of address form before you can vote, so you will definitely need to do this if your moving to Ohio from another state.

you should talk to different people! no one is required to own a passport unless they are traveling out of the country, so how insane would that be to require a passport to vote?!

No, a passport is not needed.

You will need

Birth certificate, drivers license, American Express card, blood sample, & a DNA test.

Can be piece of mail and drivers license, a passport, etc....
