Demonstrate something you know well. I had a student who demonstrated how to put on makeup without a mirror. She was GOOD at it. The class loved it and so did I. Go with your strengths, make sure it is something that can be seen. If you have a computer and video feed you could demonstrate a million things with gaming, downloading, installing software, researching etc. When all else fails demonstrate how to clean the classroom. Make it fun for all the students but get the whole room involved, just like your preschool teacher did. You will demonstrate something the teacher will love and appreciate.

Any art skills? Saw one where a person did a 60 second gestural drawing and another where a person demonstrated crosshatching in drawing to show darker and darker shadows.
Music...One person demonstrated the various guitar chords and another did large piano keys and demonstrated which keys were which notes on the scale also the difference between sharps and flats. One person majoring in Jewelry/Metalsmithing in Art Dept. demo'd how to mount a cabachon gem in a bezel mounting and knurl it down securely (cabochon stone is a rounded gem like a moonstone, not faceted like a diamond)....Haha, one student showed proper frog dissection proceedures...yeck! One demonstrated toll painting techniques, another botany student studying mycology brought in five different mushrooms that looked very similar and were common to the area; three would make you ill and two were good to eat and demonstrated how to tell the difference between them. Another brought in poison ivy, poison oak and several mock plants that were harmless and showed how to tell the difference. One demo that was nice was a student brought a few pieces of sanded wood and showed the best way to apply wood stain and then varnish. (the varnish went on a piece of wood that had already been stained and dried). The most impressive one I ever saw was a guy brought in a disassembled carburator and and a rebuild kit...had 10 minutes for the speech...that guy demo'd how to put in a rebuild kit and reassemble the carb in that time...he was impressive!!!

im actually doing this in class this week. i did how to make a party favor for a baby shower. i went to joann's or micheals craft store and bought sea salt and color dye, and some fragrance. you can buy them boxed for like 10 bucks. then i followed the directions on how to make them. and even if you've never done them before they are so easy.

anyway i had to do it in 3 steps, the first was gathering material, the second was making the sea salt which takes about 2 min in itself. the final step was putting the little sea salts into little plastic bags (which come with the kit) and attaching it to a teddy bear. the speech lasted over 5 minutes and i got an a on it. i definately reccomend it.

other people did: how to play lacrosse, how to throw a fast pitch softball, how to throw a football, how to string a guitar, how to tie a knot, how to give cpr, how to make a cosmopolitan, how to crochet, how to knit, how to do an ollie on a skateboard, how to tell if a coach bag is real or fake, how to make waves in your hair, etc....

good luck!!

How to wrap a gift. You only need a box of some sort and some wrapping paper and scissors and tape. If you need to have a longer demonstration, just demonstrate how to use ribbon or other embellishments. If you still need to use more time, wrap several gifts of different sizes and shapes.

oragami was what I did. It was super easy and fun. and also, It caught the classes attention real quick. When you do it, use bright colored papers to keep them focused. go here to get some ideas of which one you want to demonstrate! http://www.origami.com/

If we take the topic of our Country, State, Culture, religion, nature etc. it is best.

Otherwise, we get numerous topics from computer web search.

I would think that you should demonstrate the correct way to use a paper ballot.
