Move on and make new friends. If your friend doesn't "want" you anymore then trying to hold on would be pointless and make you feel sadder. Mourn then move on.

Cut your losses and call it a day. You cant force someone to be your friend so you have to let it go. The only way I'd have contact w/ex-friend is if they started talkin crap about me.
