Average estimation monthly for 1 person
Rent: $200 for a shared HDB room
Food: $180
Utilities: $ 50, if you watch loads of TV or use loads or Internet, it might be more.
Transportation: $120
Total: $550
so I would say its expensive, and I haven't include weekend outings or shopping!!!

depends on the house you live in, cheapest about $150-$300 for renting, food, if you home cook might be cheaper but if no go hawker centre then about $15 per day, bills for electrical and water can be up too $100, transport will be $4 per day if u take bus or mrt so most likely you will need about $600 to $800 a month? maybe you can share cost with a friend for housing ...

It depends on your life style. Rental for a two bedrooms condo is around S$1500. Food at hawker centre could be quite cheap. S$4.00/meal probably.
