I would have to sadly say that it is mostly evil. There's good, but there is more evil in human nature than good. Luckily, God can help us overcome that. If you believe in God that is.

Neither. There is no such thing. Or both if you believe you exist. Try looking beyond duality. All acts could be characterized as good or bad. But if you look into who sees it as such, you will find no one is home. So anyone that says only yes or only no will only be seeing in the realm of duality. But there is way more beyond this. To see beyond it, all you need to ask is "to whom is this question arising?"

Is it you (limited concept of self)? Or YOU (that which is everything)? It is the limited concept of self which needs to ask. You are not the one asking the question. You are being tricked by your own apparent "perception". Ask if it is really true. Is there really anything to know? Are you actually good and evil and everything all at once? No duality—One thing?

Generally good.

Most people live relatively peaceful lives with only minor issues with bad people, despite what it might look like on TV. Most people are not fearful for their lives or their possessions.

What you see on TV is intentionally tailored to show only bad things. "If it bleeds, it leads," is the motto of many a news organization. Good things on the news make people snooze.
