I heard from a realiable source that money does come from trees though there aren't many of these and most are monitored by the government.

Technically speaking, money in paper form ,notes are made of paper, which comes from trees, but more importantly there was a tree near to my old house that grew 5 pound notes, we raided it got about 75 quid, then the people moved and took the tree with them!what a pisser that was

Actually it does. Paper is made from wood so wood is chopped down. Made into paper. Sent to the mint and it is all taken care of.
