Intelligence is for the blind? :P

Seriously though, how about enable us to interpret, analyse, comprehend, and expand upon those same visual stimuli? Or even to see a geometrical pattern, and apply intellectual abilities to mold that pattern into something else useable by someone else for something else?

It would help a little more if there was some more explanation, I don't think I fully understand your question.

But for me I suppose I'd like to think of it this way: I/O - Computer. Keyboards, mice, etc, are like your senses, they are input sources. It just so happens that our optical sense is our primary, but it is not the only input, and it is an input. Then that input is fed to the computer, the brain. Here I would say intelligence does matter. We receive visual stimulation, our brain analyzes what we are receiving, and our intelligence tells us what to do with it. Hence some people with and incredible lack of common sense and intelligence do really stupid things when they are stimulated. They may see the same thing as more intelligent people, but just don't have the capacity to deal with it as effectively.

Well for some? Intelligence would do nothing if one is visually stimulated. For example the rapist and the pedophiles. Visual stimulation occurs for these type of People, and thus proves that intelligence really would do nothing for them. Their visual stimulation triggered their intellectual part of their brain to shut off and perform their visual act. But, who's to say....

There is a certain type of intelligence that is visual. Other people are aurally stimulated; others are logically stimulated. To each his own.
