Love kids because I'm kind of like a big kid myself. Plus, kids are so much more accepting of differences and also they ask really interesting questions. They ask questions that many adults couldn't ask themselves because of "what preconcieved" idea's people have about sexuality.
Plus, one day I want to have kids myself. But dating or having a relationship with someone who already has kids, there would have to be a discussion about roles (for example, parenting roles of the non-main caregiver). Those sorts of issues do need to be discussed otherwise, often there are complications. Such as, if the main caregiver states a certain bedtime and then the other "non-main caregiver" breaks that rule, then there are problems resulting from this. Often the good cop/bad cop dynamic happens and this is not nice for anyone. So, communication is the key. Plus the main caregiver has to think about how much input the person who they are starting the relationship with, will have with the child.
Sometimes if a person is starting a relationship, they are going through the "romantic" (or glazed) stage and so a scenerio may happen such as you may ask said person: "are you cool with me having kids" and the answer may be "yes, sure, anything" without the person really thinking about reality or emotional aspects involved. That is why communication is vital.

I would as easily as a single person without kids. The added dimension would be whether she treats her kids well and at some point I am accepted into the family. Personally, I'd expect her to be cautious about how quickly she expects her kids to accept the people she dates. I don't believe that parading a lot of strangers thru your kids home is particularly healthy for them. So, I wouldn't readily want to see that treatment applied to me. All in all, I like kids and would consider it an added bonus.

It really depends on how well adjusted the parent is and how comfortable the kid/s are with you.
