My office just upgraded me to a new computer - Dell. When I put in a music CD, it makes a buzzing noise. It is not very loud but is distracting. I can hear the CD fine. Why is this and what to do about it? No other problems yet.

Mine does something similar and it's the cd drive vibrating because of a poor 'fit' in the housing. It stops if I press on the drive, as if I'm shutting it tighter, but once I take my hand off, it sounds like it's ready to take off.

Its probably not your computer but your CD-ROM drive. These are very easy to replace. Do you have a dual drive in your PC (ie., DVD-ROM) If so, you can try playing your music CD in there as an alternative.
