Yes, you can help your baby by loving him and enjoying him, and by not worrying about his development. Give the kid a break! He's only just started to live, and you're already worrying about him being intellectually challenged! Enjoy your baby and enjoy your life!

Even at 6mo there is alot you can do. Baby Einstein videos are great. Make lots of eye contact and talk to him/her. My daughter loved to play peek a boo. When I would go to the store I would ask her questions, like should we get green beans or corn? She would reach for one and I would tell her good choice and then we would get that one. I have always talked to her like a person who understands what I am saying and not baby talk. Look for toys that are age appropriate and play with her. Music is also good. We still dance around the house as we do chores and she is now 6.

There are a pair of variables right here to evaluate: Will the mum be carry each and every of the nutrition and aspects, or will you be offering ANY nutrition, snacks, diapers, wipes, etc? how many hours consistent with day? How a techniques is it from their homestead to artwork on your place, when you consider which you will ought to determine in commute time on your finished day. in the event that they artwork 8-5, you're probable staring at 10 hours consistent with day or longer. that's an prolonged time to be caught with an infant! Will you have the flexibility to take the new child with you to run errands as mandatory, or will you be thoroughly trapped on your place for the period of latest child care hours? Will you should make any upkeep or ameliorations on your place to make it secure and new child-friendly? The solutions to those questions ought to provide you a extra effective thought of your fees and investment in this undertaking--you decide directly to a minimum of wreck even! you in addition to mght ought to be responsive to what the going fee is on your area--that varies from place to place. in case you be responsive to of the different individuals who keep young ones of their homestead close by, discover out what they fee, and/or call the community day cares to be sure how they might learn how to what you intend to fee. it would be completely perfect so which you would be able to fee slightly extra effective than day care, because of the homestead environment and one-on-one care, yet you will no longer have the flexibility to get too a techniques out of line from their costs. while you're talking 10 hours consistent with day x 5 days, that's a 50 hour week. At minimum salary, that ought to be $250 a week, yet no way will you have the flexibility to fee that. Going fee is lots extra possibly around the $one hundred/week variety, yet once you're in an city/suburban area and insist is intense, you have got the flexibility to do slightly extra effective than that. sturdy success!

check out psych development books and or archives at a local college. www.uwm.edu/libraries should have some good facts. but anywho, music, black and white shapes on cars, light and sounds, etc. sometimes overstimuli can give mixed signals for mom and dad to interpret. so, don't do everything at once, or the child may exhibit signs of colic.. just kidding. try the above.

Actually you can.
Classical music and bright colors (toys, pillows, mobiles, etc) have been proven to increase a child's intelligence.
I personally believe that avoiding too much baby talk and talking to the child in regular English helps too, but that's just my opinion.

it is a proven fact that rubbing a baby's head will stimulate brain activity.we did it with are baby that was born 7 weeks early. in pre-k he tested at almost a first grade level. that is the only thing we did different with him as opposed to the other children.

Hi! My name is Janet. I know that light, and flashing light helps to stimulte children. And also, the rotating toys that are hung above a baby's crib is designed to help stimulate them as well! If you don't have one of these it will be worth it to get one and hang it above your child's crib!
Hope that I have helped! -Janet

Talk to him all the time, and not in baby talk. Sing a lot and read. At that age you can do a lot to stimulate him in play.
