My daughter went through a phase of making duct-tape stuff when she was seven or eight. She made a wallet, a pill-box hat, notebook covers, mini-notebooks, Barbie clothes . . . . I don't know what all. It was very clever, and duct tape lasts a long time.

If you are willing to spend the time, I think you could make anything you'd make with fabric -- and duplicating things that are usually done in leather would come out pretty good. The only caveat is that it can get kind of clunky.

Oh, and she used a brown kind of cloth tape, not actual duct tape. I wonder if you can find it in your area? It's quite common in Japan. My folks used to buy something similar at the PX which they called green army tape.

There was once a scholorship at my High school about Duct tape. A student created a Duckt tape Tuxedo for the Homecoming Dance and won.
