My mp3 player is broken!?

I just got it yesterday.

I put some songs on, and were playing them for a few minutes, when it said on the screen that the energy was low.

I put the player on the usb cable and kept the computer on, going to sleep.

When I woke up, the computer was off, but the mp3 player was off even with the ON switch on.

Anyone help? I think I fried it or something.

Try charging it with the computer turned on and the mp3 player turned off, but plugged in.
