What ways are you coping, and if they involve an extra-marital relationship, what's your attitude about it? Feeling guilty, deserving, vengeful, all of the above or none of the above?

I would seek counseling to see if my marriage is salvageable, if not, then divorce. There is no use having an affair....just end it if it's that bad

Well I am married for the second time....and have had 15 GREAT years...but my first try....Oh Man it sucked! All I can tell you is if it is THAT bad and there is NO hope of working it out...leave...DO NOT cheat! End it and move on. Life is toooo dam short to keep flogging a dead horse. And to go through life unhappy and depressed is just silly. There is someone out there for everyone and sometimes it takes a little wisdom in picking the right one...which you should have gained from your relationship now.
Best of luck

You will hear so many people say "Marriage is forever! Make it work out!" That sounds to me like someone who's never been in a bad marriage.

Having been in a bad marriage and having tried everything and it just didn't work, I know how you feel. It was horrible. My self esteem sank to all-time lows. Don't let that happen to you. But remember, it takes two to make a thing go right, or wrong.

Like Dr. Phil says, try EVERYTHING before you leave. Then if it fails, you can leave with a clear conscience. But don't stay married just because the bible (cough) says so.

Right now I am on the verge of wanting a divorce. It really sucks. I love my husband but am sick of his lies and stealing money from our family. I'm not coping well, but having an affair is the last thing I want. Don't need another man to mess up my life even more!

the question is why are you unhappy . are you unhappy cause you do not like your partner or are you un happy because you do not know or cannot be happy inside your self . If your a unhappy person moving on is useless as it will not fix the trouble , If you do not like your partner , tell them move on and that way there is a little less hate in the world , And better Karma for you by not cheating

Hi I am sure a lot of people have answers to this

If you are married, you are committed to one person for the tenure of the marriage! period.

How I am coping
a) First we need to ensure that the unhappy episodes do not affect our self-esteem
b) Make sure I atleast do three activities each week, that I like to maintain my self-esteem
c) Maintain my independence in financial matters
d) At every step, even if the partner's behaviour is vengeful, stick to the dictum of "do one's duty without expecting anything'.
e) try to work on positive qualities and ignore negative ones of the partner
