Not everyone does, but some people feel like there are ethical boundaries that make it impossible to stay together indefinitely in an interracial relationship.

Ignorance. My minor in school was cultural studies. Some people believe that whites are superior and others (particularly blacks) are not as evolutionary superior and having children that are biracial will be evolutionary throwbacks to the white race. For some black families, dating a white person is seen as a slap in the face or ignoring their own culture. It all depends on the race of the person or their family. For me, I dated (and have a child with) an Arab. My parents are afraid of his family being terrorists or him stealing my daughter.

That's a generalization. Many people see no problem with it. I'm in an interracial relationship, and our ethnicities have little to do with our feelings.

There are bigots who don't like other racial people simply because they of that race. Then there are people who won't date/marry people of other race because they think that the other people would not understand them because of the difference in cultural values(which in large part is connected to race).

Because it was/is preached at them from the pulpits of several churches.
I believe that it is good for the race (there is only one "race", the human one). Mixture of genotypes is a healthy thing.

maybe they feel like it's being a trader to their race. pretty soon we'll all be just one race......which will be mixed.
