since EVERYTHING causes SOMETHING?! Today on Oprah Stay away from Sugar, Enriched Flour, Hydrogenated oils, and something else, basically ALL PACKAGED FOODS!!! The doctor was like "fruits and veggies don't have that stuff". yea, delicious. and WHO HAS TIME TO MAKE A MEAL EVERY MORNING, LUNCH, AND DINNER EVERY SINGLE DAY? Seriously. Too much milk causes colon cancer. Too much bread causes breast cancer. Too much alcohol causes liver cancer. WTF?! *venting* cause I try to eat healthy, and even my Ritz crackers aren't okay anymore. nothing is. grrrr. anyone else feel my pain? :)

I know, every time I turn on the TV or read an article it's about how something that was once good for you can now cause cancer, right? I think most of it is exaggerated though. I believe if you eat in moderation and stay away from eating out too much, you're gonna be just fine. And even if you don't, you're gonna be just fine. Just remember , food is fuel and whatever we eat should make our bodies feel good. Always remember what might taste really good, is not always good for us. But I think you already know this.

Actually it is not that hard to eat healthy.
You can use 2% milk on a healthy whole grain cereal for breakfast.
Eat a turkey or chicken sandwich on whole wheat bread for lunch and stir fry a blend of your favorite veggies at supper. Add chicken or beef if you think you need it. Drink fruit juice from concentrate but watch out for the added corn sweetener or sugar.
I know you wouldn't want to eat the same thing seven days week but this is a sample of how you can eat healthy.
Salads with carrot slivers and broccoli can have anything you like added to them and they could be great.
We tend to develop a taste preference for things we have handy. That creates a craving and it can be hard to break from that but in time the taste buds will adjust.
Grilling meats can remove a majority of the fats and be much healthier than frying.
Hope that helps

Yes i'm feeling your pain it's even gotten to the point the school board has sent out an approved food list that only certain foods on this list can be sent in for special parties the school has. No more cookies, cupcakes, chips, things like that can be sent in for the parties. They have to have baked chips, fruit, yogurt, nuts, etc. This has gotten to be ridiculous!!!!!!!!

You just don't know anymore, this morning I was listening to Paul Harvey, and he said that Great Britain just finished a study on breakfast bars ( healthy right?) and they found that they contain more sugar and fat then chocolate chip cookies, so guess what's for breakfast tomorrow?

I say eat what you want as long as it is in moderation. I try to eat 5-6 small meals a day because the doctors say it is more healthier that way. As I see it one day they will claim that everything we eat or drink will kill us anyway so why not enjoy it now. Just count your calories, sugar, cholesterol in take.

I hear ya. My sister has a lot of time on her hands and makes all healthy food - organic, no hydrogenated oils, etc. It actually tastes good, but she's crazy! Last time she came to my house she threw out my peanut butter!

Eat what you want. Depending on who you ask, every single possible food has something wrong or causes something wrong. Even the "experts" will tell people things like, "Coffee is good for you." *wait five days* "Coffee is bad for you." *wait two weeks* "Coffee is good for you."
Don't worry about it.

blah... there are some foods that are considered healthy, like fruits, veggies and lean meats. of course, i hate all those with undiluted passion and love all the junk food.
we're all gonna die anyway, who cares. you could be perfectly healthy and drop dead tonight, or smoke your lungs out and live to be 100.

you only live once, so be happy enjoy every minute. You could be very healthy and cautious on what you eat but when you think about it we all die someday may be sooner than expected so why not enjoy life. eat what ever you desire in moderation

Water. You can eat the other things, but only in moderation. The only way water can hurt you is by drowning or taking it intravenously.
