Let the Villain realize his mistake before the heroes could kill him?

It's my premise that truly evil villains must die. Whether he realizes the error of his ways or not, I've always found satisfying to kill off a villain through his own idiocy or clumsiness. It is a device used frequently in movies. The villain, for instance, trips on something and falls to his death from a high place. I do like that one.

I like the idea of having the villain going away (chased away, in a coma, thought dead, whatever you can come up with) then coming back,.

So, maybe the heroine's fallen in love with him, against her better judgment, and though she's in total denial about it, he has to live long enough to change and justify her faith (lust) in him

Just how good can a bad boy be without not being a bad boy anymore? TOugh questions, TOught answers.

But, yep, he needs to come back

Have fun!

Wow, could all be interesting but killing with out the realization, is almost not worthy. (I think there should be a grand tribunal and the announcement of guilt for each mistake announced due to the act not being tolerated by society) He shall be improsioned to once again to think about society and the crimes against them, then the villian asked to do what is safest for society by eliminating himself for the protection of others...(far fetch but yet interesting, think of it)

Let the Villain win for a change and let him realize that all he struggled for was for naught

Why not let the villain win for a change?

i like the third one. especially if they did something really bad. maybe you could have them be killed, but pull a dante's inferno and show their punishment in hell that serves them justice. that would be cool.

Send him to prison so you can bring him back in the sequel.

Have him die BECAUSE he realized his mistake.
