As in what is a song with a lot of similies, metaphors, alliterations, hyperboles, and things like that.

It doesn't have to include ALL of them; but as many as possible.

The only one I can think of is 'Life Is A Highway' but all it is is one big metaphor so... any other ideas? :*

This is hard to answer not knowing your musical tastes!

Try anything from Bright Eyes. My picks would be "Arienette" most definatly!! Others would be: "First Day of my Life", "Waste of Paint" or "Train Under Water". Unfortunatly, these are on different cd's.

Tool is an excellent choice, too. Almost everything by them is filled with imagery and all other literary terms. Especially the CD 10,000 Days.

Or how about Alice in Chains? "Nothin' Song" (The chorus is The nothin song sticks to your mouth like peanut butter on the brain). "Head Creeps" would be another good one by them.

Many songs by the Beatles would be a good choice, too. Or some of the stuff by My Chemical Romance. Evanescence is another good choice, as is A Perfect Circle.
I hope these ideas help!

There's a Scottish artist named Fish that is an excellent lyricist. He was also with Marillion until 1988.
