Sure It is OK, don't worry, the noise might belong to the fans and you can check that by opening the cover of the case to see where it is coming from.

Hello,
You should use your computer tower in the position it was made to be used.
Laying it on its side can work, but it you get the mother board upside down, that could create a problem with various cards (possibly come loose).
I would also be unsure about using my CD drive or DVD drive sideways. They are designed to be used horizontal.
Laptops are portable, but they are also designed to be used in a flat position when in operation.
Some computers do have a "tower" that lays flat, but inside the motherboard, and cards are also laying int he upright position, and the CD and DVD drives are horizontal to the floor.
If you tilt your computer "tower" while in use, the hard drive might not spin properly...so the same can apply to on it's side.
It is not a great idea to have the pc tower "on the floor" anyway, because of dust.
I do not recommend you take the chance.

A typical tower is layed out like a desktop unit inside except for the orientation of CD's and floppies. If you want to lay it down, make sure that it is mainboard side down. (your back ports on the bottom). Most CD trays allow you to position a disk in from the side, so the side mount works with practice. The noise comes from the bearings in fans not used to being in that position. No harm, as they are brushless. Perhaps a bit noisy.

it really is a quite good construct, and do not pay interest to the guy suggesting that you get an Nvidia snap shots card particularly of the 7770. The 7770 is a good card for that is fee, and would furnish you with playable body rates on extremely in Battlefield 3 at 1920x1080 as long as you turn Antialiasing submit on, yet go away Antialiasing deferred off. My in basic terms suggestion, even although i comprehend you're on a funds, is to spend about $20 more effective on the processor and get an i3, even as human beings say processors do not count number a lot even as it contains gaming, the version in i3s, i5s, and i7s even as it contains gaming as against the different processor substances you with a lot more effective perfect gaming performance, an i3 may even beat out an FX-8120 even as it contains frames in line with 2d.

are you blocking any fans or air movement ? That would be the only concern. Cd and DVD drives work perfectly well standing up, or laying down. If not how would laptops exist. Oh and moving in there are fans, drives spining and transistors making and breaking!
