It is a matter of style and good grooming. Celebrities are constantly photographed. A dark, hairy armpit is not photogenic.

It makes them look clean, smooth, and attractive. Especially a female, what male wants a girl with bushy underarms? That looks nasty. I'm a female and you won't catch me with bushy underarms. Celebrities just want to stay fresh or at least just look like it and not really be. You know what I mean? How is a celebrity with so much money go around with some nasty underarms? Why would they want people to see them like that? They don't want their fans to be like "Oh I don't like such and such because she look trifline and dirty with those nasty looking underarms.". That would make that celebrity look bad. You know what I mean?

Because men don't like to see underarm hair or leg hair!!! I shave my underarms because the hairs hold in B.O. but I haven't shaved my legs since I was 16!!!! XD

I know myself that it is gross (imao) if you don't shave the pits. However, I wonder who first decided it was unattractive. Somebody had to. We were not born without the hair so when did it all start and why?

Because most women prefer to not have horrible hair growing from their armpits..because it looks ugly.
