I'm trying to think of a movie. A man is warned that gay sex happens at rest stops. Later, he is at a rest stop, goes into the bushes to pee, trips over another man. He is arrested in a raid.
Another scene, I think is this same movie, a man is in a rest room, sees a message written on the wall wanting sex at midnight. He realizes that it is almost midnight. It turns out that a psycho type dude that he has run into a few times before is the guy who shows up. I seem to think that this is a Jim Carrey movie, but I can't think of which one. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

your thinking about 2 different scenes from 2 different movies. the first scene is from:
* Something About Mary
... i haven't seen this movie yet, i've just heard from friends about that particular scene.
the 2nd scene is from:
* Dumb and Dumber
Jim Carrey is in a stall and it says "sex @ midnight" and a big guy breaks through his stall and beats him up and it's the same guy that he threw the salt at back in the dinner.

It's from "There's Something about Mary" w/ Ben Stiller. He picks up the hitchhiker who looks like he's carrying a cello (but it's actually a dead body." The hitchhiker says something about having a great business idea - 7 minute abs...if you don't like it, we'll give you the extra minute free. Ben Stiller says something like, "That's very original...until someone comes out w/ 6 minute abs." Then, the guy says, "No, not 6 minute abs; it's 7 minute abs...who can do a workout in 6 minutes? Step into my office...you f***in fired!"
Then, he pulls over to the rest stop, and trips over someone, and then the police arrest everyone, including Ben Stiller. His friend then sees him on TV and has to go rescue him from the prison where the cops mistakenly think that he's the killer, rather than the hitchhiker.

It was "There's Something About Mary". Ben Stiller stars in it. The psycho is played by Harland Williams.

and the second one is Dumb and Dumber (Meetint time in stall)
