Hi

Has anyone with olive skin tone gone blonde from dark brown?
I am pale but have olive undertones - mom is mexican & dad is irish - so I'm somewhere in between. I'd love to try it, but I'm worried. Any advice?
Thanks~

I am Italian, Greek and Irish and have olive skin with a rosy hue to it. I have naturally ash brown hair and have been every color possible, including blonde. If you have it done professionally it should be fine. Keep in mind, you should not go platinum or too light if you want it to look natural. Honey blonde, strawberry blonde, etc can look fabulous. DO IT!!! and soak up the attention it will bring! :)
Just be sure to go to a good salon and use lots of conditioner. You can always darken it later (with demi-permanent color) if you don't like it. Or if you are timid do highlights around your face first.

JUST DO IT!!
Your genes sound like a nice mixture & u can alwayz color it back!! try it..believe me men luv light colored hair...{hi-lites}
the first week is always hard to get used to...wear it for at least a week...once the color settles in u will like it..it will seem VERY bright at first...wear hair pulled back til u feel comfortable...once the hair has toned down naturally you'll b happy...
Remember, it is a change!! it will seem very bright but give it a week...lightened hair opens up the cuticle drastically...so all of the "lite" shines throughout the hair strands..after a few shampoos & conditioners the cuticle closes again into a more natural state.
Remember to change your makeup colors too.

I have olive skin and went blonde from jet black. It killed my hair and the roots started to show after only a few days. I had to cut it all off, dye it back to black, and grow it out so it would be healthy again.

My advice is don't do it. You can get caramel and dark yellow highlights, which will look really good, but blonde hair will look ridiculous on you and unbelievably fake. Some girls weren't meant to be blondes.

its not going to look natural no matter what color blond you dye it...I suggest just getting heavy highlights.....it will look better, and not like you are trying to be somthing that you are not....as in blond

i think of blonde. i think it relies upon on the pink tho. while i think of of redheads i think of of an extremely grotesque pink so i consistently say the alternative in spite of the undeniable fact that it in basic terms relies upon on the colour of the two
