Motorcycles are like women. I never met a motorcycle that was not the best. I have had a Honda Dream, Mini Trail, Kawasaki Big Horn and a Harley Super Glide. Loved them all. I want a Triumph Bonneville now.

The best motorcycle for what? Speed? Twisties? Cruising? The money? Your height/weight? Getting chicks? Stunting? Commuting? Gas mileage? Dirt? Touring? Smuggling? The altitude? Breaking the speed record? Drag strips?

Gotta be more specific.

The one in your garage! Let the bike you pick reflect your personality; don't let a magazine ad or the Harley culture influence your choice. Read consumer reports and make the choice based on your budget. It all comes down to opinion...

I think Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki offer quite a bit of bang for your buck. Don't be afraid to get off the beaten path to look at a Triumph or something similar. If if is a chopper you want, look at Big Bear Choppers or BMC Choppers. For a bobber, look at Flyrite Choppers or Sucker Punch Sally's. Personally, I think Exile Cycles are incredible.

I have an HD. I guess that its the best. But some of the Japanese like Yamaha are also very good. Don't listen to "tree8588". He is a total "ASSHOLE". He has been giving bad advice for a long time now. Maybe the vibration from his cycle has rattled his brains in his ***!

Honda ST1300. BMW RT1100 is a close second. Well, maybe neck and neck.

If you're talking features, then the Goldwing reigns supreme.

I know Harley Davidsons are the best. I use to ride other brands but once I rode a Harley, that was it. I'll always ride Harleys, nothing else.

That my friend is a loaded question. First, what are you going to do with the bike, dirt, highway, both. Second, everyone has their own favorite. You'll get as many answers as there are models of bikes.

One you can RIDE.

Depends on what you want to do with it.
I had my variety of imports, they were all good at what I did with them. Now I have a Big Twin and it does everything I want it to do.
