I always have hard time sleeping. got a lot on my mind. plus i need to seriously lay off caffeine but i am just too addicted, and i am drinking water but it just tasteless to me.

What's on my mind? well i can tell you but i rather someone who shares the same feeling as i do through IM or e-mail. I don't want jerks telling me things like you'll get over it or it's all in your head or whatever.

i have trouble sleeping but that's because i 'daydream' at night. I think of things that are impossible but they make me happy. Its good you want to tell others what you're thinking. Oh and about the caffeine is it the tea or coffee. If its coffee try tea it has less caffeine. Water is tasteless to everyone i think, but think of it as part of life, its really bland at time, yes a very weird comparison.
If you really need someone to talk to you can tell me and i'll try to help. Others can not help you unless you tell them what's wrong because one person cant really understand another unless it expressed through words. There are somethings that happen and you can never get over them becuase they scars they leave just wont ever dissapear. Sorry i might be sounding naive cuz im actually quite young. trying to be smart here lol. Good luck hope you find someone you can talk to. Remember to smile and laugh more it really helps. I had something bad happen to me and i didnt laugh or smile for 1 week before and i though i was going to die so now i smile and laugh all the time, though it has no meaning it still helps.

I don't know what you're going through... but if you get some physical exercise in during the day, sleep no more than 7-8 hours, and lay off of caffeine past 5PM or so it will help a lot.

You may be addicted to caffeine, but I'd rather be a little lethargic from 6-bed than lie awake tossing and turning... and thinking.

A beer or 2 doesn't hurt, but if you're unstable mentally... probably not a good crutch to lean on.

There can be a million and one problems why you have trouble sleeping, and Ive experienced many of them. Ive gone from worrying about a divorce, to money problems, and work problems, to my teens problems, and many more, and it can certainly reck havic with your sleep and your life. My parents have died, my kids have been in trouble with different things, and Ive come close to loosing my mind, but, you must beleive that you WILL get through it, and it will eventually pass, even though it seems at the time, like its impossible. Just try to concentrate on other things at night when you must sleep, because at night, you cant really solve any problems anyway, I figure you might as well sleep, so you have the energy the next day to cope with all of the problems life throws your way! I tried sleeping pills, and they just get addicting, even though they claim its not habit forming, dont beleive it! Read, get on the computer, or have a glass of wine, or a drink, and then retire, never being stressed out. Also try a nice walk about an hour or so before bedtime. It can releive stress, and make you see things in a different light. take care, and hope things work out for you!

i have been addicted to sleeping pills for over five years now. and i'm only 21! in my psyc book i'm reading now (it's learning psyc) they said for insomniacs, they taught them to get out of bed every time they felt "restless" and to never be in bed doing anything else than sleeping (ha, i guess that rules out sex then...). now, i don't know if this works, because it sounds tedious to me. plus, when i NEED the sleep, i'd rather not get out of bed and wait to get sleepy again...it'll never happen!

also, i cut out caffeine, but that didn't help. my sister has told me to exercise.............but i haven't tried that one out yet. haha.
