That is false, without a doubt, (at least for me)...When a child is asked something and they are too young to lie about it... They know they are in trouble, but they tell the truth anyways. The whole time crying because they know they are getting sent to the corner...
If I had to say these words it would hurt me, "I plead guilty to drinking and driving, causing injury, and/or death...(it is a good thing I am smarter than that).
Telling your spouse of ___ years how you just contracted HIV, or AIDS, because you were unfaithful. (Once again... smarter than that).
Since this is in philosophical though... Those are based on certain circumstances... take away what we call the "conscience", or having the ability to block it out. that would be a different story.

No that is not true in reality many times it hurts the teller. For instance when a Doctor has to tell a parent that they lost their child in surgery because they could not save them. That hurts. No one is without some feelings. If you are talking about cleansing ones conscience by confessing because the lie they told is hurting others, well in that case the statement that fits is "the truth will set you free."

The truth can sometimes hurt the teller. What if you had to tell someone you love something bad? Wouldn't that hurt you to see them hurt?

Yes, that is right. Honesty. Never hurts the teller. Always come out a winner in the end.

The truth may hurt to tell but trying to keep up with a lie thats told is harder. In the end it will hurt more when the truth is found out.

No, tha'ts not right.
Sometimes telling the truth to someone hurts just as much as recieving the truth. Sometimes telling the truth means admitting you're less of a person than what you would hope to be. Sometimes it means sharing bad news. Sometimes it means a warning, and it can be hurtful if that warning is not heeded.
No, receiving the truth is easy; you recieve and choose to act or not act on it, that's it. Telling the truth stretches your morals, your love, your pride ... your very nature.

Absolutely not, I have found in the majority of situations telling the truth will hurt much more than help. Not to say the telling the truth is wrong, but you must definitely examine the situation thoroughly before deciding to tell the truth.
It is best to keep out of situations in which it is necessary to lie. And never tell the truth to the cops unless you absolutely have to. It will always be used against you.

it might hurts the teller in the short term but in the long term it doesn't because it is one of the laws of nature and creation. nature is truth! reason why scientist can predict behavior of certain mechanisms !! if it wasn't there will be no applicable science !!

Depends on the situation. Maybe someone tells the truth and is killed. Normally though telling the truth makes you feel better. Think George Washington and that tree!
