I learned calculus (single-variable) in sixth grade, and I'm hardly a genius.
You would be educated, definitely. A genius? That's up for debate. Simply passing a class or learning a subject doesn't make one a genius, regardless of age.

Passing calculus won't make you so much a genius as it WILL, based on a high grade average, give you an edge towards a bright promising career in high tech professions.
Proficency in the higher arts of mathematics can open doors in areas of physics, aeronautics (think NASA), genetics, computer science, astrology....etc, etc.
Just because a person can breeze through a quadriatic equation doesn't mean he can make a Fender Stratocaster wail like Stevie Ray Vaughn or Eddie Van Halen (who uses Hamer guitars, btw....).

Well, by definition, a genius IQ is something like 135 or 140, and for sure your IQ is at least that if you can learn calculus at the age of 12.

No. You will be a genius if you learn fundamental principles of mathematics and then apply these principles to develop your own math methods.
Remember maths is not only calculus. Probability is much difficult than calculus.

I didn't even know they taught caldulus in the sixth grade. When I went to school, we were taught arithmetic in the sixth grade.
By the way, if you were a genius, you wouldn't need to ask that question.

You'd be really smart in math! Now if you actually like calculus, and understand it, in sixth grade, then you'd probably make a good scientist or mathematician.

Ever heard of:
A square is a rectangle, but a rectangle isn't a square?
It's something like that in your case :D
Don't ask me why, haha
