I need a topic for a persuassive paper. It has to be a topic where we can legetimatly argue the case, and win people over. It can't be something silly like m and m's versus skittles, but it CAN be something thing like the war in iraq, or politics, or anything realistic basically. I need help, so please anyone help i will greatly appreciate it, thank you so much!!! Also, where can i find things on that specific topic?

Look at the issues that are on the ballots next week
Here's some I can think of, not all are ballot issues obviously. Pick a side and write why your side is right and the other is wrong.
Smoking - should the government have the right to ban smoking in all public places or should smoking or not smoking be up to the owners of the establishments?
Gay Marriage - should it be legal or not?
Animal Rights- Is it okay to experiment on animals to develop and test products to be used or consumed by humans?
Assisted suicide - is there ever a case where this would be acceptable and the assisting person not be charged with a crime?
Curfews - should there be a state law telling all minors under the age of 16 what time they should be home as a way to reduce crime?
Gender Selection - should parents be allowed to select the gender of their baby while inutero?
If none of the suggestions from Yahoo Answers does it for you try this website

Yes, there are lots of matters to web publication approximately. You might provide opinion portions or "the way to"s. Top 10 lists are constantly well for running a blog too (they commonly get extra reads than different best lists). Just consider approximately what you realize, after which write approximately it! I consider it's constantly bigger to put in writing an issue that you're knowledgable approximately. So, for instance, write approximately what you realize approximately advertising on Facebook or an extra social media website. Good good fortune!

OK you named good topics already-and you can find all the info you need on the web-BUT--I learned the hard way that whoever is giving you points for this=teacher/professor can take the topic you use personally. I did one on abortion and one on Malcolm x and the teacher didn't like my views ect...so i didnt get the grade I should have--so try not to pick a controversial topic--try and find one that makes people think-yet still feel unthreatened

How about that people vote for presidential candidates based more on their personality and looks than on the issues. There's a lot of research to support this. Good luck!

When I was in high school, I did mine on abortion, I did mine against it. You have to research both sides of the issue and debate it. Look up both sides on the net, you'll get a lot of help if you decide to do it on that.

Argue whether you think John Kerry's bad joke will affect the elections. You could use different newspapers and magazines that have stories and commentaries on it.

who dont you use something contreversal like a woman for president, or a black person for president, that could easily start a debate, internet would be the best place to find info and obviousely more of an easy subject to speculate on, easier to opinionate, and most of all easier to convince people to be for or against it!
