I don't think he is brave enough to face them. He made some pretty good enemies with the vets from the Viet Nam era. Now has repeated the insult on the present fighting men and women.

His statement prooves that he's a jerk! Our poor troops are in Iraq risking their lives, missing their family and friends... and John Kerry just makes is worse for them... God Bless our troops and hope they all return safe...

I agree with xyz.
Also, Kerry's biggest problem and he's had it since he first ran for Congress in the 5th Congressional district is bad advisers. His timing is bad and unless things get truly worse (and possible) he did himself a great injustice cuz those Republicans a experts at Crucifixion over mere prattle. In that respect they are unmerciful. They all take lessons from Lynn Cheney.

Kerry should not have apologized, he was only speaking the truth, which after all is very very obvious

Bush should apologize to our troops not Kerry.
Bush's lies are what sent them there.
