--Remove L crankcase cover, valve cover & cam chain tensioner.
--Bring piston to TDC and line up timing mark on flywheel.
--Install camshafts, with cam lobes pointing away from each other.
--Put cam chain on cam sprockets and sprockets on cams (don't install bolts yet).
--Press on cam chain through tensioner hole.
--Line timing marks on sprockets either parallel with head or pointing straight up and down (depending on where the sprocket bolt holes are and they mount to cams with cam lobes pointing away from each other).
--Temporaraily install sprocket bolts.
--Collapse cam chan tensioner and install tensioner.
--Turn flywheel back and forth to allow tensioner to put tension on the cam chain.
--Recheck that all timing marks are properly aligned (flywheel and cam sprockets). Repeat process if timing is incorrect.
--When every thing is aligned properly, turn flywheel in direction that motor turns (turn very slowly. Any resistance and the piston might be hitting a valve. Back up the flywheel, take it apart and check for any mistakes).
--When everything is lined up, remove sprocket bolts one at a time. Put "lock tight" on each bolt and tighten them.
--Anyone attempting to do work on their own bikes, BUY A SHOP MANUAL!!! Why trust any answers you get from message boards. A shop manual is a worthwhile investment. You've invested so much time and money into your precious machine. A couple of extra bucks ain't gonna kill you.
