I always wore them in school and still have some actually. I wore them before I ever played soccer. Lots of people did. People just like the look of them and the support they give.

well they are just shoes.....and they are usually worn by soccer players.....why would you wear them if you don't play when you know what the assumption is. the gazelle and campus along with the stan smith and ali are other viable choices that have similar looks.
