I read an article recently that said to not keep research or confidential stuff on any PC or laptop - especially going through immigrations - because the border guards now have the right to demand that they check the laptop for porn. If that means they read confidential stuff, then you could be in trouble if that stuff gets out into the public domain.

Otherwise write everything down - stuff written on paper is not subject to search & seizure - yet.
