I have a glass top stove I use the polish that came with it . I found that if you put too much on it take a while to get it off after it dries too long .Try to wipe it off before it gets too dry.

You need to use a protectant & a cleaner:first use the cleaner & flat razor if needed, Use the protectant, then it will be easier to clean for a while, when it gets harder to clean use the protectant again, link below is a product I sell to my customers

just use a good glass cleaner with that orange stuff in it, streak free, make sure stove top is cool, let it sit for 2-3 minutes, wipe with a soft paper towel

you can use a razor blade to scrape the surface of caked-on product. also, try a different brand polish. i have one that came with my stove that comes off pretty easily. it is made by Whirlpool for their & kitchenaid products.
