Christianity has an impact on western philosophy. The "hot topic" of debate in the early periods of western philosophy brought Christianity and proving it to the forefront. Take Aristotle, for example. Even though he wasn't Christian, the established power of the time, the roman catholic church, adopted many of his thoughts as confirming their beliefs and declared his philosophy was in cohort with christianity. For example, the revolution of the sun around the earth (aristotelean idea), was adopted by the roman church, as confirming the idea that creation was special and since god created earth, all planets focused around the earth. Thomas Aquinas had a big impact, so did Kierkegarrd, to name a few. The question of the existence of God was and still is sometimes, a big topic in philosophy.

When you say Christianity, think western philosophy, since eastern philosophy has no link to western philosophy or chrisitianity... Your question is a good one.

I think perhaps better put would be to ask "What is philosophy's impact on Christianity." That is IMMENSE...."Christianity is Platonism" said Nietzsche....With the fussion of Athens and Jerusalem (culminating in Augustine and Aquinas) Christianity was we to pagan theory and practice (practice more so with the edict of constantine in 313). Most of Christian philosophy is really simply a Christianized version of Plato and Aristotle..

ITS ALL A MATTER OF INTERPRETATION for example if i was a muslim, hindu bhuddist,my philosophy would be different than say a
catholic or a mormon, or even a hebrew fundamentalist.
on the accepted philosophy of the western world it has fueled every war that has ever been fought, alledgedly, where ideology, and philosophy meet you generally find conflict. LF
