these places are the best for nice and open-minded people.
the best way is to be positve and friendly yourself, therefore you'll have the positive energy circulating around you and attract people of the same sort.

Every human has good or bad traits in his behaviour.if u approach them with positive thoughts, u get good people all around, if u behave with them nicely there are very few chances that they behave with u badly.nice people r everywhere.

As it is said, to have friends one must show himself to be friendly, too. That said, you can find them ANYWHERE!!!
People who have the same interest or association as you, will probably make finding friends a little easier, though.

Start doing something nice and you will meet other nice people (joing a club, volunteer, church choir, ... )

I actually still think they outnumber the 'bad' people.
