breast milk is always best. If you can't breast feed then try different formulas. Every baby is different. Try one until your baby is happy and then stick with that one.

When my daughter was first born she was on the enfamil lipil with iron. Then when she was 3 months the wic office changed the formula to Similac Advance Infant Formula and my baby constantly threw that up and now at 4 months, we are using Similac Isomil Advance Soy Formula and she does soo much better than she has with any other formula

I tried to use similac but that didn't work because my munchkin is lactose intolerant, we tried 8 different kinds before we settled on 1/2 soy, 1/2 parents choice because it reduced enough of the lactose so my child could drink it.

I used Similac with iron, but we ended up having to switch to a soy based formula because our son was allergic. We switched to Isomil and he was perfectly fine on that.

We used what they used in the hospital- Similac Advanced with Iron... worked really well. We also didn't use the powdered kind- it got really clumpy... so we used the condensed kind- where you use a can of that with a can of water mixed together- worked out great! He wasn't sick once, and rarely spit up.

I used enfamil lipil with iron, it is the closest thing to breast milk, my daughter is 10 months old and she has been on it since she has been born, she rarely spit up and it seemed to agree with her really well.

I breast fed both my children for the first 6 months then went to Enfamil Lipil with iron. Breast feeding isn't for everyone but it is the best thing you can do for your baby.
