I have not 1 but 2 favourite characters in MAHABHARATA - Drona & Karna. The reason why Drona is my fav character in Mahabharata is b'coz he with the BRAHMADANDA was the most powerful warrior in the universe. Till the 15th day, Drona did not use the BRAHMADANDA but on the night of the 14th day, when Dhritarasthra fired Drona for not fighting at full potential, Drona decided to use this irresistible weapon for the 1st time ever in the Kurukshetra battlefield. He had not imparted the knowledge of the Brahmadanda to anybody not even ARJUNA or ASHWATTAMA.When he proved unconquerable on the 15th day of battle, Krishna told the Pandavas on the face to either kill Drona by unfair means or lose the battle. Therefore the Pandavas did cheating & killed Drona. Regarding Karna, he was a person who did not drink even a drop of his mother's breast milk yet he fulfilled his duty as a son to Kunti by not killing Bhim, Yudhishtra,Nakul & Sahadev even after easily defeating them in battle. He also kept his other promises of, not using the NAGASTRA twice on Arjuna & not killing Draupadi's warrior sister, Sikhandin, even though he defeated her many times in the Mahabharata war. He did not kill Sikhandin as it was in accordance with his principle of not killing women. Also, after the war, Lord Krishna took Arjuna's chariot to a remote place. he then asked Arjuna to step down & then after Arjuna got down he then stepped down later. Then he took Arjuna to a far distance from the chariot & then when the invisible Lord Hanuman became visible, he shouted at Hanuman to get off Arjuna's chariot. When Lord Hanuman jumped off Arjuna's chariot, the horses were burnt alive and the chariot exploded into pieces. Arjuna was surprised & shocked seeing this. Then Krishna & Hanuman explained to him that both the horses & chariot were destroyed by the divine deadly arrows of Drona & Karna, but the divine presence of Hanuman had prevented Arjuna from certain death then. This incident totally shattered Arjuna's ego. Krishna himself admitted that even he with his Sudarshan chakra was inferior to Karna armed with the AMOGHASHAKTI weapon(the power to use lightning to kill the enemy). Therefore , Drona & Karna r my fav characters in MAHABHARATA.

Krishna , according to various Hindu traditions, is the eighth avatar of Vishnu. In the Bhagavad Gita (e.g., 10.15 and 15.19), he is seen as the Supreme Person and the highest God. Thus, according to traditions such as Gaudiya Vaishnavism, he is the origin of all other incarnations.
Krishna and the stories associated with him appear across the spectrum of Hindu philosophical and theological traditions. Though they sometimes differ in details reflecting the concerns of a particular tradition, some core features are shared by all. These include a divine incarnation, a pastoral childhood and youth, and life as a heroic warrior and teacher. The immense popularity of Krishna in India also meant that various non-Hindu religions that originated in India had their own versions of him.
Further Mahabaratha means Gita and Gita means LORD KRISHNA.
