I would really advise you to talk to your doctor about that, only he or she will know the answer.

As for people sitting here saying she is a bad mom and does not need a baby HELLO they test babies for drugs when they are born so if it were her baby she would not have it right now. As soon as they found the drugs in the system the baby would of been taken by DCF

This is a real shame. A baby can go through withdrawals for a long time. I have a nephew that had drug withdrawals and he would lay and have tremors or shaking. When he was getting old enough to crawl, he couldnt. When it was time to begin walking, he didn't. Finally when he did walk, he was crippled.
He also has some retardation. Now he is 27 years old and in a nursing home in a wheelchair. He lived at home until 2 years ago but his physical limatations made it too hard to care for him any longer. If you know a child with drug withdrawals, get him all the medical help you can because drug addiction is not something the baby just gets over that easy. Some never do.

LOVE HIM LOTS!!!! You kind of have to play it by ear as each drug exposed baby is different. Some want to be held ALL THE TIME - others are happiest (if you can call it that) when you leave them alone & prefer you not touch them unless you absolutely have to. Just take the cue from the baby & do what it needs. If the withdrawls are severe the doctor may need to intervene. Good luck to you & God Bless!

Wow, that is a serious question for his pediatrician! It would totally depend on the baby, the weight, the drug, the length of exposure and so much more. I feel so bad for any little one who has to go through withdrawals.

Its referred to as a drug attempt and that they'll in basic terms do it in the event that they think the mummy used drugs at an analogous time as she became pregnant or if some one comments that the mummy is making use of drugs or if whilst the toddler is born it shows with draw indicators

First off, i truley and honestly hope that this isn't your child...if it is you have right to keep this baby!!
Second off, it all depends on the type of drug. Withdrawls can take awhile!

Good Luck

I don't know how long the withdrawls will last. But the best thing you can do is just love the baby. Prayer prayer payer is the best thing that you could do.

Follow doctors orders and hold him, rock him, hum to him,
