Having your property treated for termites does not make the property uninhabitable, as they drill into the concrete and inject chemicals into the ground, where termites come from. They may spot treat the exact area where the termites are, but this does not mean you need to pack up to spend the night elsewhere. So the answer is no, the landlord should not pay for your motel.

READ YOUR LEASE!!! If the apartment is inhabitable then yes they must at least put you in a vacant apartment or pay for your stay at a motel. where i work even if the apartment catches on fire and its not your fault, we are required to put the family up at our expense.

If not... at least you should not have to pay for the number of days that you are not allowed to stay in the apartment. Your lease should state that you are paying a certain amount of money for a certain number of days. He is responsible for having the apartment livable.. electric, water, sewer, heat, ect.
