If the pattern of the past holds true the next President will be from the Sun Belt ....Johnson, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush. Add to that our penchant for former Govs the only one left standing is Huckabee unless I miscalculate.

Carter, Reagan, Clinton, and G W Bush were relatively unknown at this stage in their elections. Which means it is way to early to make any predictions except that the next President likely will be a Governor from a Sun Belt State. With that in mind take a look at Bush (FL), Huckabee, Barbour, Huckabee and who knows who else......off course Arnold S. can't run

Well none of the above. I am a Republican who still believes Al Gore would make the best president. I like his Tennessee old fashioned values, including assassination of a potential threat in the mid east as a good solution. I like John McCain in some ways cuz' my daddy fought under his grandfather awhile. But I think he is shortsighted on the need to fund our new fighter aircraft programs. I mean, what killed Al Zhawarzi, the guy who was head of Al Quada in Iraq? An F-16. In a slow leisurely turn as I have heard. That proves we need to keep up our technical lead in strike and fighter aircraft. And the F-16 is already old.

Mark Warner has taken himself out of the race, unfortunately. I think the best ticket would be John Edwards/Barak Obama

Repubs: I think John McCain sold out on the torture issue. Someone else will have to step forward.

Hillary Clinton would never win. Too much baggage with Bill Clinton. Has she even decided if she wants to run yet? Perhaps we should wait until people start running before we start volenteering them.
