Im saying the Lakers im not just saying that because im a Lakers fan but because if youve seen their recent games their bench is putting up big numbers, they are looking for each other more, every night a player steps up example: oct 31 Maurice Evans with 17 pts and Lamar Odom with 34 and Bynum with 19, and yesterday against Warriors Ronny Turiaf with 23 pts, and they even beat The Phoenix Suns in fast break points can you believe that? no one beats them in fast break points . and i have a gut feeling Kobe is going to be a more of an assist guy this season im saying he'll average at least 8 or 9 assist during the season and make his teammates better.

um... the lakers will be worse with kobe.
they will suddenly forget how to share the ball like they did while going 2-0, and smply watch in awe as Kobe takes over the show and "leads" the lakers to another 6th/7th seed.
I belive that teams with a LEGIT chance of winning are (in order):
1: Phoenix (look at their lineup: nash, marion, Diaw, Stoudamire, Barbosa.)
2. Chicago- Kirk Hinrich leads a core of young players. Tyrus Thomas will learn a lot about hte game from PJ brw and Ben wallace.
3. Dallas- very good on both sides of ball. very deep bench. promising youth
4. LA clippers - very deep, and having Elton Brand doesnt hurt
5. Spurs/Pistons - both are getting old, but still might find that spark
Sleepers: New Jersey (b/c of Kidd, Carter, Jefferson)
Lakers (if Kobe can fit Lakers' Triangle offense by geting teammates involved and not start his own show again)
T'wolves - (if Randy Foye is as good as he is supposed to be [he drew comparisons to DWade] then KG21 and RF will be killer
Cavs (LBJ is good. Are the rest of the crew ready? Big Z needs to contribute on both sides by shooting more and dfending better, Gooden needs to be a better defender, nad Larry Hughes needs to stay healthy and take pressure off LBJ. Plus Eric Snow needs to be a true PG.)

I think Chicago and Miami will put up a good fight in the EAst and Spurs against Mavs in the West. I am a heat fan. Dwade is still the best player in the league but I think Chicago deserves a championship crown this season. They don't have a true superstar but their teamwork is their strength. I'll go for either Chicago or Miami.

The Bulls. They did excellent last season and if you watched their opener, they showed Miami, as well as the rest of the NBA that they are ready to take the title.

The Mavs... They have dirk and are deep enough to make a run... D-Wade might've gone to marquette, but that certainly does not make him a wisconsin boy. He's from Illinois... the Lakers won't win it because they don't have a proven big man who can score inside...

Dallas. Strong team and they could have won lat year. They need to beat the Suns but if they can do that they own the West.

The Cavs look good as well. I hope James stays healthy. Watch out for them tooo man.

the cavs. because when larry hughes scores more points then lebron, you are in huge trouble. larrys back and we can cruise to 60 wins with him healthy. we havent even used our new talents shannon brown, and scot pollard so we will be great this year.
