They have to pick up about 30 seats.

Personally, I give them about a 25 percent chance of doing so on Tuesday. Probability drops to 10 percent if John Kerry, Howard Dean, and Nancy Pelosi cannot keep quiet until then. Im thinking they will pick up some, but not enough to make a majority and select the Speaker.

The race is polling a heck of a lot tighter in the last few weeks than it was in the late summer.

Looks like they dropped the Foley scandal a little too early. That one should have been a classic October surprise. I don't think it will make evangelical Christians stay home as was intended.....

In fact, it made the Democrats look shady, sitting on the story since the spring and then making a stink about how they want to "protect the children" I'm in West Palm Beach, Florida right now, the fact that Foley was a sicko appears to be common knowledge. He had been re-elected many times in spite of this.

IDK the numbers. google it. Oh god i just said google on yahoo, i'm gonna die. Anyway, It'll take a lot of republicans getting over the abortion issue. How can you go on about life and the right thing to do when thousands of soldiers are dying in iraq because of your vote. Yes 9/11 was horrible, but saddam had nothing to do with it, even bush himself admitted that. Idiots. Abortion isn't the only issue and no one is voting to kill babies!
