Not much. Subtract hotel rooms, gas, food, etc...add how much the gig pays, no more than a hundred dollars.

You will end up staying in cheap motels and eating out of dumpsters. Unless you are going on a big tour with a bunch of bands that are signed.

my band did a tour of small clubs and bars in the north east, and got paid anywhere from 50-350 a night, basically depending on sales at the bar and people in the door. If a bar is selling drinks, the club is making money and thats basically how it works. Just start at local places and find out if they have fri/sat shows, and how to get booked. give them a demo and remember.....persistance will pay off.

On tour it does depend ..now studio musician$$ they make more$ but no recognition just like to play and it is about the music .....more or less there is no real stereotype

depends on the number of people who buy tickets and the demand of the ticket sales.
