I'm a 13 year old guy and I've never been to my middle school dances before, because I COMPLETELY SUCK AT DANCING!!! I'm not a total loser though, some girls like me, but no one knows I can't dance! And the worst part is, in a few months, after my 8th grade promotion, I'm gonna go to an only 8th grade dance for my school and I don't know how! Dance classes don't help because I don't know when to use the moves! What should I do? Will girls not like me anymore when they find out I can't dance?

Who knows "how to dance"? Justing Timberlake? Beyonce? There is not right or wrong way to do it, you just have to FEEL the music and move, unless we're talking about ballroom dancing or something. It is a expressive thing you can do how ever you want. If people make fun of others dancing, it is only cause they are sitting on the sideline too scared to get out there themselves.
Most girls will still like you for who you are, whether you think you can dance or not, or whether you choose to or not. The few that would not "dig" you cause you can't "bust a move", are not worth having anyway.
BUT, also consider that it may be a lot of fun for you to get out there and cut a rug with a girl that wants you to dance with her. She may not want to sit around and chat all night while her friends are having fun dancing, unless you meet a girl that doesn't like to dance either. Watch some MTV videos and practice in front on your mirror at home. Do whatever you want, just don't do the "running man" move, I'm pretty sure it's out. LOL

Many girls can not dance. When you take dance lessons it takes more then the first course to really start to get it. My husband has been trying to learn for a number of years. Our friends are great and we will always be beginners, doesn't matter we don't give up we keep trying and laugh at our mistakes. Relax, laugh at your mistakes and don't take it to seriously and you should do just fine.
As long as you are a good person the girls will like you. Remember to look and how many grown men do not dance and how they have relationships. You'll be great.

If a girl likes you she won't care if you can't dance. Besides, in 8th grade, all you have to do is dance just the slow ones, not the fast ones, put your hands on her hips and wobble back and forth a little. Good luck.

Your in 8th grade. Who cares if girls dont like you for not dancing, Immaturity is at that age. So dude, Just move your body, and If people laugh at you, Just keep dancing. I dont think alot of guys know, or like to dance. My Husband doesnt , but I dont make fun of him. He is who he is, and Its having fun that matters. Dont let peoples opinions or popularity make you feel like you suck, Because you dont.

just try and relax..there is no certain way to dance do what ever you want jump up and down dont worry you can always slow dance!! all you have to do is is follow your partner it will all be good!!
